Skyler Packard, CMHC Student
He/Him/His
Skyler is currently studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University and is passionate about understanding why we behave in the ways that we do. Skyler’s compassionate and open-minded approach fosters a warm, therapeutic relationship and creates a confidential setting to understand who you are and where you want to go.
Skyler’s background in exploring spiritual and philosophical questions equips him to empathize with clients navigating identity crises, faith transitions, and interpersonal relationships. He believes psychotherapy should identify core issues in a person’s relationships, emotional processes, psychological development, life themes, and avoidances. His existential framework, focused on identity and meaning, helps individuals develop their sense of autonomy and enhances their resilience to life’s challenges.
Skyler received a bachelor’s in finance and an associate’s in psychology from Utah Valley University. Before pursuing a master’s in clinical mental health counseling, Skyler worked at a mental health rehabilitation center where he supported individuals struggling with addiction and learned valuable skills in fostering resilience, agency, and accountability. Exposure to diverse populations over his lifetime has prepared him to work with individuals seeking to explore their inner conflicts and work toward personal growth and fulfillment.
