Ola Pono Counseling offers a curriculum that provides a comprehensive approach to delivering culturally competent and trauma-informed care to diverse clients. Through a combination of supervised clinical practice, Socratic dialogue, interpersonal feedback, engaging content, weekly supervision, and integrative learning seminars, participants will gain a deep understanding of Indigenous knowledge, Feminist theory, neuroscience of trauma, and Pamela Hays’ ADDRESSING model. This comprehensive program equips therapists with the tools to effectively address the complex needs of diverse populations. By participating in this program, therapists can deepen their cultural understanding, develop therapeutic skills, challenge biases, foster empathy and connection, and become advocates for social justice. Ultimately, this program prepares therapists to provide culturally competent, trauma-informed care to Native clients and create a healing and empowering space for all.
